Open Access Policy

Indonesian Tourism Justice Review is committed to providing immediate, free, and unrestricted open access to all of its published scholarly content. The journal believes that making research freely available to readers supports the advancement of knowledge, encourages scholarly communication, and increases the accessibility and impact of academic research.

All published articles are made publicly available online immediately upon publication, without subscription requirements, registration barriers, or embargo periods.

1. Immediate Open Access

All research articles and other scholarly content published by the journal are freely accessible to anyone with an internet connection.

Readers may access, read, download, copy, search, and link to the full text of published articles without requiring individual or institutional subscription.

The journal does not restrict access to published articles based on geographical location, institutional affiliation, or user status.

2. Copyright and Licensing

Copyright and licensing arrangements are clearly stated for each published article.

Unless otherwise specified, articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, which permits others to:

  • read and access the article freely;
  • copy and redistribute the work in any medium or format;
  • adapt, remix, transform, and build upon the material; and
  • use the work for commercial or non-commercial purposes,

provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s), the source is properly cited, a link to the applicable license is provided, and any changes are clearly indicated.

The specific copyright and licensing terms applicable to each article are stated on the article's publication page and within the published version.

3. Author Rights

Authors retain appropriate rights over their scholarly work in accordance with the journal's copyright and licensing policy.

Authors may share and disseminate their published work through:

  • institutional repositories;
  • subject or disciplinary repositories;
  • personal academic websites;
  • institutional websites;
  • academic profiles;
  • research networks; and
  • other lawful scholarly communication platforms,

subject to the applicable Creative Commons license and proper attribution.

Authors are encouraged to deposit and share their published articles through appropriate repositories to maximize accessibility and scholarly visibility.

4. Reader Rights and Reuse

Open access does not eliminate the requirement for proper attribution.

Users may reuse published material in accordance with the license under which the article is published. Any reuse must appropriately acknowledge the original author(s), article title, journal, publication information, and source.

Users must not misrepresent the original work, authorship, findings, or source of the material.

Where material within an article is subject to third-party copyright or a different license, the relevant copyright or licensing information applies to that material.

5. No Embargo

The journal does not impose an embargo period on published articles.

Authors and readers may access and share the final published version immediately after publication, subject to the applicable copyright and licensing terms.

6. Article Processing Charges and Open Access

The journal's open access model and any applicable publication charges are clearly disclosed on the journal website.

Where an Article Processing Charge (APC) or other publication fee applies, payment of such fees does not influence editorial decisions, peer-review outcomes, or the academic evaluation of manuscripts.

Authors who are unable to pay applicable publication charges may be considered for waivers or discounts in accordance with the journal's Article Processing Charge and Waiver Policy, where such a policy is available.

7. Digital Preservation and Long-Term Access

The journal is committed to preserving the scholarly record and maintaining long-term access to published content.

Published articles should be deposited in appropriate digital preservation or archiving systems where available. The journal may participate in recognized digital preservation, repository, or archiving services to ensure that scholarly content remains accessible in the event of technical disruption or cessation of publication.

8. Open Access and Editorial Independence

The journal's open access model does not affect editorial independence.

Editorial decisions are based solely on scholarly quality, originality, relevance, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, and contribution to the field.

Neither authors' ability to pay publication fees nor any commercial or institutional relationship may influence the editorial or peer-review process.

9. Open Access and Research Integrity

Open access articles are subject to the same standards of peer review, publication ethics, research integrity, plagiarism prevention, authorship, and editorial quality as all other journal content.

Making an article openly accessible does not reduce the journal's academic or ethical standards.

10. Commitment to Open Scholarly Communication

Indonesian Tourism Justice Review supports the principles of equitable access to scholarly knowledge and responsible open scholarship.

The journal is committed to improving the discoverability, accessibility, reuse, and long-term preservation of its published research while respecting authors' rights, intellectual property, research participants, and applicable ethical and legal requirements.

The journal periodically reviews its open access practices to ensure continued alignment with internationally recognized standards and best practices in open scholarly publishing.
