About the Journal

The Indonesian Sports Justice Review (ISJR) is a peer-reviewed journal that explores the intersection of sports, law, and justice within the Indonesian context and beyond. As sports continue to play a significant role in society, providing cultural cohesion, entertainment, and economic opportunities, it is essential to consider the legal dimensions of fairness, equity, and social justice within the sports sector. ISJR seeks to examine how legal frameworks, regulations, and governance structures can promote integrity, inclusivity, and fairness in sports while addressing the challenges that arise in this dynamic field.

The journal is committed to advancing research that critically assesses the legal implications of sports in Indonesia, focusing on issues of access, participation, discrimination, governance, and the rights of athletes and other stakeholders. It provides a platform for scholarly work that engages with both the legal and social aspects of sports, exploring how law can be used to foster justice, promote ethical practices, and resolve disputes in the sports industry.

Sports in Indonesia are not only a source of national pride and identity but also a significant contributor to the economy. As the country continues to develop its sports infrastructure and industry, ISJR aims to provide a critical space for discussing how the law can support the fair and just development of sports, ensuring that it serves all communities, protects vulnerable groups, and promotes social good.
