Publication Frequency

Indonesian Sports Justice Review is published quarterly, with four regular issues released each year in January, April, July, and October.

Each issue contains peer-reviewed scholarly articles that contribute to the advancement of research and knowledge in sports law, sports justice, dispute resolution, sports governance, athlete rights, regulatory frameworks, and related interdisciplinary fields. The journal maintains a consistent publication schedule and is committed to ensuring timely peer review, editorial processing, and publication of accepted manuscripts.

Articles are published only after completing the journal's editorial screening and double-blind peer-review process, followed by final editorial approval. The quarterly publication schedule is designed to ensure a regular, sustainable, and transparent flow of scholarly communication.

Special Issue Policy

Indonesian Sports Justice Review may publish special issues in addition to its regular quarterly issues when there is a strong scholarly rationale and sufficient high-quality manuscripts addressing a clearly defined and timely theme within the journal's scope.

Special issues may be organized in conjunction with, or emerge from, academic conferences, research projects, thematic research initiatives, emerging developments in sports law and justice, or other scholarly activities. A special issue proposal must be submitted to and approved by the Editor-in-Chief and must clearly identify the proposed theme, academic rationale, guest editor(s), prospective contributors, and expected contribution to the field.

All manuscripts submitted for a special issue are subject to the same standards of editorial screening, ethical requirements, and rigorous double-blind peer review as manuscripts submitted to regular issues. Participation in a special issue does not guarantee acceptance or publication. Guest editors may assist with the academic coordination and review process, but final editorial decisions remain the responsibility of the Editor-in-Chief and the journal's editorial team.

Special issues will normally be published as part of the journal's regular publication schedule and will not alter the journal's established quarterly frequency. In exceptional circumstances, the journal may publish an additional special issue when approved by the editorial board and when sufficient high-quality content is available.

The journal reserves the right to decline, postpone, merge, or discontinue a proposed special issue if the submitted manuscripts do not meet the journal's quality, scope, ethical, or peer-review standards.

All special issues are expected to maintain the journal's principles of editorial independence, transparency, academic integrity, research ethics, and publication ethics.
