The Indonesian Court and Justice Review is a peer-reviewed academic journal committed to the critical examination of judicial systems, legal institutions, and court practices in Indonesia and comparative jurisdictions. With an emphasis on promoting transparency, fairness, efficiency, and accountability in judicial processes, the journal provides an intellectual platform for the study of how courts contribute to justice in both theory and practice.

The journal aims to foster high-quality interdisciplinary scholarship that explores the complex roles of courts in upholding the rule of law, human rights, and democratic values within Indonesia’s evolving legal and political landscape. Given Indonesia’s multifaceted legal system—featuring civil law traditions, Islamic jurisprudence, customary (adat) law, and modern constitutionalism—the journal invites innovative and critical research that examines the performance, independence, legitimacy, and transformative capacity of courts at all levels, from local religious courts to the Constitutional Court and Supreme Court.
