Article Processing Charges

Palestine Issues on Indonesian Society applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 5,000,000 (five million Indonesian rupiah) for each article accepted for publication.

For international authors, this amount is approximately equivalent to USD 300 (three hundred United States dollars). The USD equivalent is provided for reference and may vary depending on the applicable exchange rate at the time of payment.

The APC is charged only after a manuscript has successfully passed the peer review process and has been formally accepted for publication. There is no submission fee and authors are not required to make any payment at the time of initial submission.

The APC supports the operational costs associated with the journal's publication process, including editorial management, peer review administration, copyediting, typesetting, online publication, digital preservation, and maintenance of the journal's publishing platform.

  • Peer review: Not affected by the author's ability or willingness to pay the APC

  • Open access: All accepted and published articles are freely accessible online

  • Special Issues: Articles accepted for Special Issues are subject to the same APC policy unless otherwise announced by the Editorial Board.

Waivers and Discounts

The journal recognizes that publication fees may create financial barriers for some authors. The Editorial Board may consider full or partial APC waivers or discounts in exceptional circumstances, particularly for authors from countries or institutions with limited financial resources.

Requests for an APC waiver or discount should be made in accordance with the journal's applicable waiver policy. Such requests will be considered independently from the editorial and peer review process and will not influence editorial decisions.

The journal is committed to transparency regarding publication charges and will not impose any undisclosed fees on authors.
