Archiving and Deposit Policy

The Indonesian Minority Justice Review (IMJR) is committed to ensuring the long-term accessibility, preservation, discoverability, and integrity of all scholarly content published by the journal.

As a fully open access journal, IMJR supports responsible digital preservation and permits authors to deposit and share their published work in appropriate repositories and scholarly platforms, subject to the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License.

1. Digital Archiving

IMJR maintains appropriate digital archiving arrangements to preserve the scholarly record and support continued access to published articles.

The journal seeks to ensure that published content remains accessible in the event of changes to the journal's website, publishing platform, hosting provider, or other technical infrastructure.

Archived content should preserve, where possible:

  • the final published article;

  • article metadata;

  • author and affiliation information;

  • abstract and keywords;

  • DOI and persistent identifiers, where applicable;

  • publication date and issue information; and

  • relevant copyright and licensing information.

2. Author Self-Archiving

Because authors retain copyright and articles are published under the CC BY 4.0 license, authors are permitted to deposit and share their published articles without requesting additional permission from IMJR.

Authors may deposit the Version of Record (VoR) in:

  • institutional repositories;

  • subject repositories;

  • national or disciplinary repositories;

  • university websites;

  • personal academic websites;

  • research profiles and scholarly communication platforms; and

  • other lawful digital repositories.

There is no embargo period for author self-archiving of articles published by IMJR.

3. Repository Deposit

Authors and affiliated institutions may deposit the published version of an article immediately upon publication.

Deposited copies should retain the original bibliographic information and, where possible, include:

  • the full citation of the published article;

  • the journal title, Indonesian Minority Justice Review;

  • the publication year and issue;

  • the article DOI or other persistent identifier; and

  • a link to the official version of record on the IMJR website.

4. Third-Party Repository and Scholarly Sharing

Authors may share their published articles through appropriate academic and research dissemination services, provided that such sharing complies with the CC BY 4.0 license and applicable copyright law.

Third parties may also redistribute or reuse IMJR articles under the terms of the CC BY 4.0 license, provided that appropriate attribution is maintained.

5. Preservation of the Version of Record

The version published on the official IMJR platform constitutes the Version of Record.

Authors and third parties are encouraged to link to the official Version of Record whenever possible to ensure that readers can access the authoritative bibliographic and publication information.

Where a deposited copy differs from the Version of Record, the deposited version should clearly identify its relationship to the published article.

6. Long-Term Digital Preservation

IMJR will seek to participate in appropriate digital preservation and archiving services that support the long-term preservation of scholarly publications.

The journal may use recognized institutional, national, international, or third-party preservation services to maintain persistent access to its published content.

The specific preservation services used by IMJR will be identified on the journal website as they are established or updated.

7. Metadata Preservation

IMJR is committed to maintaining accurate and persistent article metadata to support indexing, discovery, citation, and long-term accessibility.

Metadata may include:

  • article title;

  • author names and affiliations;

  • ORCID identifiers, where available;

  • abstract;

  • keywords;

  • publication date;

  • volume and issue information;

  • DOI and other persistent identifiers;

  • references; and

  • copyright and licensing information.

8. Withdrawal and Post-Publication Changes

Published articles are part of the permanent scholarly record and will not ordinarily be removed from the journal platform.

Where an article requires a correction, expression of concern, or retraction, the original publication record will be maintained whenever possible and appropriately linked to the relevant post-publication notice.

In exceptional circumstances where removal is legally or ethically necessary, IMJR will document the action and preserve appropriate metadata and bibliographic information to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.

9. Open Access and Licensing

All IMJR articles are openly accessible and published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License.

Authors retain copyright of their work without restriction. The journal's archiving and deposit policy therefore does not impose additional restrictions or embargoes on the sharing of published articles.

10. Policy Review

IMJR periodically reviews its archiving and deposit arrangements to ensure that they remain consistent with developments in digital preservation, open access publishing, research infrastructure, and recognized scholarly communication standards.

Any significant changes to the journal's archiving or deposit arrangements will be communicated transparently on the journal website.
