Open Access Policy

Open Access Policy

Indonesian Discourse on Communication, Democracy, and Political Movements (e-ISSN: XXXX-XXXX), published by COLLEGIUM JUSTICIA INDONESIA, is committed to providing immediate and unrestricted open access to all published scholarly content.

The journal believes that making research freely available to the public supports the global exchange of knowledge, facilitates academic collaboration, and contributes to the advancement of research and society.

1. Open Access Statement

All articles published by the journal are freely available online immediately upon publication, without subscription or registration requirements.

Readers may access, read, download, copy, search, and link to the full text of published articles, subject to the terms of the applicable Creative Commons license and relevant copyright provisions.

The journal does not restrict access to its published articles through paywalls or subscription barriers.

2. Copyright and Licensing

Unless otherwise specified, articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license.

Under the CC BY license, users may share, copy, redistribute, adapt, remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercially, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s), the source is properly cited, and any changes are indicated.

Authors retain the rights granted to them under the applicable copyright agreement and licensing terms.

3. Article Processing Charge (APC)

To support the editorial, peer-review, production, online publication, and digital preservation processes, the journal charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 5,000,000 (five million Indonesian rupiah) per accepted article.

The APC is payable only after a manuscript has successfully passed peer review and has received a final acceptance decision.

The submission of a manuscript and participation in the peer-review process do not guarantee acceptance or publication.

Payment of the APC does not influence editorial decisions. Manuscripts are evaluated solely on the basis of their academic quality, originality, relevance, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, and suitability for the journal.

The APC covers the publication of the accepted article as part of the journal's open-access publishing model. Readers can access the published article free of charge immediately upon publication.

The journal does not charge additional fees based solely on the length of an article, number of authors, or number of references unless such charges are explicitly stated in the journal's current fee schedule.

4. Submission Fee

The journal does not charge a submission fee. Authors may submit manuscripts without making any payment at the time of submission.

5. APC Waiver and Discounts

Authors who experience genuine financial difficulties may request an APC waiver or reduction.

Requests for waivers or discounts should be submitted to the editorial office before or during the publication process and should include a reasonable explanation of the financial circumstances.

Requests for APC waivers or discounts are considered separately from editorial decisions and do not influence the peer-review or acceptance process.

The journal may also provide full or partial APC waivers for specific circumstances, countries, institutional arrangements, invited contributions, or other cases determined by the publisher and editorial team.

6. No Subscription or Access Fees

Readers are not required to pay subscription fees or individual article access fees.

All published articles are made freely accessible immediately upon publication under the applicable Creative Commons license.

7. Author Rights

The journal supports authors' rights to disseminate and reuse their scholarly work in accordance with the applicable Creative Commons license and copyright agreement.

Authors may share their published articles through appropriate scholarly channels, including institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal or institutional websites, academic profiles, and other lawful research-sharing platforms.

Any reuse or redistribution must comply with the license attached to the published article.

8. Reader Rights

Readers may access and reuse published articles in accordance with the applicable Creative Commons license.

Permitted uses may include reading, downloading, printing, copying, sharing, and creating adaptations, provided that the user complies with the license terms and provides appropriate attribution.

Users must not misrepresent the authorship or source of the work and must not remove or alter attribution information.

9. Third-Party Material

Authors are responsible for ensuring that third-party material included in their manuscripts can legally be published under the article's applicable license.

Where third-party material is subject to different copyright or licensing conditions, the relevant rights and restrictions must be clearly identified in the published article.

The Creative Commons license applied to an article does not automatically apply to third-party materials for which the journal or authors do not hold the necessary rights.

10. Long-Term Access and Preservation

The journal is committed to maintaining long-term access to its published scholarly content.

Published articles may be preserved through appropriate digital archiving, institutional repositories, indexing services, or other recognized preservation mechanisms in accordance with the journal's archiving and digital preservation policy.

The journal aims to ensure that the scholarly record remains accessible even if the journal's website or publishing platform changes.

11. Open Access and Research Integrity

Open access does not reduce the journal's standards for academic quality, peer review, research ethics, or publication integrity.

All manuscripts remain subject to the journal's editorial policies, peer-review procedures, plagiarism screening, research-ethics requirements, and other applicable publication standards.

The journal does not accept manuscripts solely on the basis of payment. APC payment is completely independent of editorial evaluation and the peer-review decision.

12. Commitment to Open Scholarly Communication

The journal supports equitable and responsible dissemination of scholarly knowledge.

By providing immediate open access, the journal seeks to increase the visibility, accessibility, discoverability, and potential impact of research published in the fields of communication, democracy, political movements, and related disciplines.

This Open Access Policy may be reviewed and updated periodically to reflect developments in open-access publishing, copyright law, research dissemination, and international scholarly publishing standards.
