Archiving Policy

1. Introduction

The Indonesian Climate Justice Review is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of all published scholarly content. The journal recognizes that maintaining a permanent scholarly record is an essential responsibility of academic publishing.

ICJR implements digital preservation practices to protect published articles from loss, unauthorized alteration, or technological obsolescence while ensuring continued access for researchers, academics, policymakers, practitioners, and the public.

2. Digital Preservation Commitment

The journal maintains a comprehensive digital preservation strategy to ensure that all published content remains:

  • Permanently accessible.

  • Authenticated and reliable.

  • Securely stored.

  • Available for future scholarly use.

The journal preserves all published materials, including:

  • Research articles.

  • Review articles.

  • Editorial articles.

  • Special Issue publications.

  • Supplementary materials (where applicable).

3. Primary Archiving System

The journal utilizes a trusted digital preservation system to ensure long-term availability of journal content.

The journal supports preservation through:

  • PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) for journals using Open Journal Systems (OJS).

  • LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) distributed preservation technology.

  • CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) where applicable.

These systems ensure that archived journal content remains accessible even in the event of website disruption, platform migration, or publisher discontinuation.

4. LOCKSS and CLOCKSS Preservation Policy

ICJR supports the LOCKSS principle:

"Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe."

Through distributed preservation networks, multiple secure copies of published articles are maintained across participating institutions.

The journal may participate in:

  • LOCKSS-based preservation services.

  • CLOCKSS archival networks.

  • Other recognized digital preservation initiatives.

The purpose of these services is to provide a secure and permanent archive of scholarly publications.

5. PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)

For journals managed through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, the journal supports participation in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN).

PKP PN provides:

  • Automated preservation of journal content.

  • Secure archival storage.

  • Long-term accessibility of published articles.

  • Protection against data loss.

The journal's metadata and published articles are preserved according to international digital preservation standards.

6. Repository and Self-Archiving Policy

The journal supports responsible scholarly sharing and allows authors to archive their published works.

Authors must ensure that:

10. Preservation of Retracted or Corrected Articles

The journal maintains transparency in the scholarly record.

  • A linked correction or retraction notice is published.

  • The publication history remains permanently available.

Articles are not removed from the archive except under exceptional legal or ethical circumstances.

13. Publisher Responsibility

The Publisher, COLLEGIUM JUSTICIA INDONESIA – Division of People’s Empowerment, Rights, Human Advocacy, and Legal Knowledge Initiative (PERHAKI), is responsible for supporting sustainable preservation practices by:

  • Maintaining secure journal infrastructure.

  • Supporting digital preservation initiatives.

  • Protecting the integrity of published content.
