Publication Frequency

The Indonesian Education Policy and Justice Review (IEPJR) is published four times a year on a quarterly basis, with regular issues released in:

  • March

  • June

  • September

  • December

IEPJR operates a continuous submission model, allowing manuscripts to be submitted throughout the year. Accepted manuscripts are scheduled for publication according to the journal's editorial workflow and the availability of space within the relevant publication issue.

Special Issues

In addition to its four regular issues, IEPJR may publish Special Issues dedicated to emerging, significant, or interdisciplinary themes within the journal's scope. Special Issues are intended to provide focused scholarly discussion of topics that warrant sustained academic attention and may address emerging developments in education policy, law, governance, educational justice, and related fields.

Special Issues may be proposed by scholars, researchers, academic institutions, or members of the editorial community. Each proposal is subject to editorial evaluation to ensure its alignment with the journal's aims, scholarly standards, and international orientation.

All manuscripts submitted to a Special Issue are subject to the same rigorous peer review, editorial, research integrity, and publication ethics standards applied to manuscripts submitted to regular issues. Inclusion in a Special Issue does not guarantee acceptance or publication.

Special Issues may be organized around:

  • emerging or underexplored research themes;

  • major developments in education policy, law, and governance;

  • comparative or cross-national research;

  • significant international or regional debates;

  • interdisciplinary research addressing educational justice and inequality; and

  • outcomes of scholarly conferences, research networks, or collaborative research projects.

The number and publication schedule of Special Issues are determined by the Editorial Board based on scholarly quality, editorial capacity, and the relevance of proposed themes. Special Issues may be published as an additional issue or incorporated into the journal's regular publication schedule, as determined by the Editor-in-Chief.

Through its quarterly publication schedule and carefully curated Special Issues, IEPJR aims to provide a consistent, timely, and internationally relevant platform for scholarship on education policy, law, governance, and justice in Indonesia and across the Global South.
