About the Journal

The Indonesian Theological Justice Review is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal that examines the intersections between theology, law, and social justice within the Indonesian context. As a pluralistic society with diverse religious traditions, Indonesia offers a unique setting for exploring how religious principles and legal frameworks intersect to shape justice in both personal and societal realms. The journal aims to promote critical discourse on how theological perspectives can inform and transform legal systems, addressing issues of justice, human rights, and equity.

The journal’s central focus is on the role of religion in legal frameworks and governance, particularly how religious teachings can contribute to or challenge legal and ethical standards within Indonesian society. It explores the complex dynamics between Islamic law (Shari'a), Christian law, and secular law, as well as the broader implications for justice, equality, and peace in a multicultural and multi-religious environment.

The Indonesian Theological Justice Review provides a platform for interdisciplinary research that engages with both theological and legal perspectives on justice, equity, and human dignity. It invites contributions from theologians, legal scholars, human rights advocates, and social scientists who seek to analyze the relationship between faith, law, and justice in Indonesia’s legal landscape, which is marked by religious diversity and constitutional pluralism.
