Contemporary Issues on Indonesian Human Rights Law and Policy is a peer-reviewed academic journal that provides a critical platform for examining the dynamic and complex landscape of human rights in Indonesia. The journal is committed to publishing original, high-quality scholarship that explores the intersections of law, politics, society, and culture in the context of human rights protection and promotion. It engages with a wide spectrum of topics, including civil and political rights, economic and social justice, indigenous rights, gender equality, religious freedom, environmental and climate-related human rights issues, and the impact of technology on human dignity.
This journal seeks to foster dialogue between scholars, practitioners, and policymakers by highlighting both the progress and the challenges in Indonesia’s human rights framework. It particularly encourages interdisciplinary approaches that draw from legal studies, international relations, political science, sociology, anthropology, and other relevant fields. Contributions that offer fresh perspectives, address contemporary legal reforms, or amplify marginalized voices are especially welcomed.
By bridging academic inquiry with practical implications, Contemporary Issues on Indonesian Human Rights Law and Policy aspires to support the advancement of rights-based governance, strengthen accountability, and promote a more just and inclusive society in Indonesia and the broader Southeast Asian region.
